Breakfast

Cooked to order, in the Great Room

Breakfast is made the way you ask for it and served at the long cherry harvest table — the one that seats twenty-six.

Omelets, home fries, bacon, cinnamon sweet French toast, homemade jam. In season there is a kitchen garden behind the inn, and it turns up on the plate.

“Breakfast was deliciously made to order, but the company and conversation really made our stay.” — MCM, TripAdvisor

Breakfast is included with every rate except our off-season multiple-night rate, which is quoted without it.

Out the back

The garden

Beans up poles, tomatoes, a shed and a fence — right behind the houses.

“For breakfast we had the luck to taste their beautiful vegetables grown in the backyard… I’m still dreaming about those potatoes, eggs and tomatoes!” — Nicolò Rombolotti, Google

Walk through the back of it and you come out in the parking lot behind the shops. That is how close the Applewood is to the middle of Freeport.

Pet friendly

Bringing the dog

The Yilmaz family is a bunch of dog-lovers. Our dogs Abby and her daughter Lilly are a big part of the family, and they have become an important staple at the Applewood.

We understand, however, that not everyone is like us. We welcome well-behaved pets in select rooms at the Applewood, but we kindly ask that you respect the other guests who might not be so crazy about our four-legged friends.

We ask that you keep dogs off of the bedding, and keep your pet well behaved, so as to avoid any damage to the inn. We are happy to supply “dog towels” should you need them for your pet.

Mention the dog when you get in touch and we will put you in a room that suits.

A variety of Maine-made products: Sea Bags, Rosebud Design belts, candles, Mrs. Meyer’s cleaning supplies, wire wall words and a collection of beautiful Timeworks clocks.

Gift certificates for the Applewood Inn are always available — give a friend or relative the gift of a fun getaway.
